Taylor Pollak

My name is Taylor Pollak and I was born and raised in South Florida. I graduated from University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a minor in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. Throughout my undergrad, I gained research experience working with dairy calves and learned about the impact the agricultural industry has on the environment.  I also studied abroad in Thailand. Here I focused my studies on animal science and conservation, and I saw firsthand how development and tourism directly affects wildlife and their habitat. When I found EMAP at Georgetown, I was excited because its interdisciplinary format gives a unique approach to understanding both the environmental policy and science behind it.

I have fully enjoyed my experience thus far at Georgetown. My fellow students and I all come from a variety of backgrounds, so do not be discouraged to reach out and apply. Please feel free to email me at tjp82@georgetown.edu for any questions you may have about the program!
