Graham Strzelecki

Hello!  My name is Graham Strzelecki and I am in the EMAP class of 2023.  I was born and raised in the town of Catonsville, Maryland, which is a suburb outside of Baltimore.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Marist College where I majored in Economics and had a minor in Environmental Policy.  I also had the privilege of running on the cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track teams while I attended there.

My desire to pursue this area of study for my master’s degree originated from when I interned for the Environmental Protection Agency which cemented my passion for environmental policy.  I chose the EMAP program at Georgetown because I not only wanted to enhance my knowledge of environmental policy, but I wanted to understand the science that guides the policy as well.  The fact that this is an interdisciplinary program which teaches both environmental metrology and policy is incredibly unique and I knew that I wanted to be a part of it.  On top of that, the location of Georgetown in Washington, DC is the center for policy making in the United States and I could not think of a better place to study this subject.  I am hoping to one day lead a career in environmental and climate policy and am beyond excited to be a part of this program.
