Camille Moore

Hi! Iā€™m Camille Moore and I am from Oak Park, Illinois which is home to the famous Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio. I recently graduated from Lafayette College and received a BA in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Architecture.

Throughout my undergraduate career, I was able to work on environmental projects that not only benefited my college but also the community where I lived. I worked on environmental signage that educated community members on stormwater management and the role they can play in maintaining the environment. My senior capstone focused on creating a more diverse Environmental Studies Program at Lafayette. I worked on introducing a new curriculum that would center around environmental histories that are normally not taught, such as classes on Native American, Indigenous People and African relationships with the environment.

While pursuing my BA in undergrad, I was able to study abroad in Florence, Italy. This opportunity expanded my knowledge about global environmental issues and how it compares to the US.  Additionally, I was able to apply my education to create community gardens, pollution and recycling projects that will aid the citizens of Florence in learning about sustainability. I chose the EMAP program because of its diverse learning curriculum, and overall commitment to helping students become future environmental leaders.
